FutsalSJ - Checklists

Game Day check list

O Print at least one Game Report Card, even if you are not the home team, just in case. In order to print the one for your game go to your teams webpage, click on '[edit]' and you will find at the bottom a link that prints the game card for each of your upcoming games. Those are the ONLY acceptable gamecards.
OWe do not restrict the number of guest players per game as long as all players participating in the game have a valid hard copy of a USFF player pass and are the correct age for the team.
O If you are the home team for the first or last game on a gym you are responsible to setup the goals or to take them down and move them to the correct place. This might take 15 minutes or more, depending on the facility, so make sure your parents are informed and at the right time at the gym. You can find info about the different gyms on our Facilities pages.
O Equipment: 2 futsal balls of the correct size (size #3 for U12 and younger, size #4 for the older age groups), outdoor soccer balls CANNOT be used to play or warm-up inside gyms!
O Make sure that players bring only water to gyms, except at West Valley College where NO drinks of any type are allowed, not even water. Parents need to follow the same rule.Don't use hallways to warm up please, and in general by nice to our facilities. We want to use them again next year!
OBoth teams must have a score keeper (parent, sibling). Have the score keeper contact the referee before the game to get instructions. The score keepers work together to fill out the game card during the game. After the game the referee should sign the card and the home team will keep the game card in case there is a dispute later.
OEach team must check the player passes of the other team before the game to make sure all players have a valid USFF player pass. If there are any questions ask the referee for help. Any team caught playing with a player that is not properly registered will be expelled from the league without refund! With your signature on the gamecard you confirm that you have checked all player passes.
O
You have 55min scheduled for your game. It is absolutely important that you start on time! Referees are instructed to cut games short if they start late. There is one timeout per team per half, 5min break, 20min halfs, so your game should take at most 50min.
O
Visiting team selects which side they want to play first, home team kicks off first half. Home team needs to switch t-shirt color if necessary (best to contact the opponent before the game to talk about colors)
O
Zero Tolerance: Coaches/Players/Parents/Fans that yell/curse/threaten anyone will be dealt with quickly, with sanctions ranging from stern warnings, one or more game suspensions for individuals, to forfeit games or even forfeit the rest of the season for a team.  We are playing a game, our main goal is to improve the soccer skills of your players. Make sure your parents understand this. Complaints should be sent to Teams Director vacant at [click to show email]

Pre-Season check list

Please make sure to follow this checklist precisely, otherwise you might run into problems! You can print this list for your convenience.
O Check that your team is listed on the list of teams. If it is not you do not have a spot in the league yet. Please contact Teams Director vacant at [click to show email] for more information and DO NOT register with USFF as described below.
O   Register the head coach and all assistant coaches with USFF. Instructions are online. You will have to pay $12 per coach.
O Register your team with USFF. Instructions are online. This will cost you about $9/player. Add your Team's Futsal ID to your teams webpage in this site.
O Register all your players with USFF. Instructions are online. Any player not registered before Thursday evening before the first game will NOT PLAY the first weekend. No exception! If you have a player that is new to your team ask the parents to fill out and sign the Youth Registration Form for Futsal.
OProvide some proof of age to our registrar, so that your players can be marked as 'age verified'. Until this happens you cannot print player passes and your team will not be allowed to play
O The USFF registration system allows you to print 'Player Application Form'. Do so for all your players that have not yet a signed a Youth Registration Form for Futsal and have the parents sign those forms. They include the medical consent paragraph, you need to show them when you check in your team the first time.
O Get the password for your team web-page on futsalsj.org. This is NOT the same password as the one used to register your team with USFF. You need access to this page to request byes and enter scores.
O Enter your USFF team ID on your teams web page after you have registered all your players with the USFF online registration system (top heading, under team information, field 'League ID'). Until you do this your player player passes will not be printed, and your team name will have a question mark after the name in the list of teams.
OOnce the age of all your players has been verified you will see a "print player passes" button on your teams webpage (only visible when you edit the team page, not on the normal view). Print the player passes and also coaches passes (you need the USFF ID for each coach and assistant coach). Add a picture to the passes, laminate them.
O Make sure to enter any byes you require for the next four weeks on your teams web-page.
O inform your parents about
  • the team web-page, as that will be the place where they find your team schedule and links to the gyms pages with addresses and information
  • that one of them will have to be score keeper for home games
  • that they need to check the gym pages for special information (cost of parking, etc.)
O Buy the necessary equipment: 2 futsal balls of the correct size (size #3 for U12 and younger, size #4 for the older age groups).
