Tournament of Champions Rules: SJ Futsal Tournament of Champions  Feb 1st and 2nd

ALL RULES OF PLAY ARE AS POSTED ON THE FUTSAL SJ WEBSITE

(5 players on court at a time, one designated goalkeeper!)
All balls out of touch restarted via indirect kick-ins.
One designated goalkeeper allowed differentiated by either jersey top. Hands can only be used within “goal area” (free throw lane). All distribution must be rolling, throwing, or ball on the floor (NO PUNTING).
ONLY BALL ALLOWED FOR GAME PLAY IS FUTSAL BALL. NO OTHER BALLS ALLOWED ON THE COURT (even for warm-up). LEAGUE PROVIDES GAME BALL.
No slide tackling.
 No “clearing” of the soccer ball allowed. At referee’s discretion this is an indirect free kick. All plays on the ball must be “purposed” soccer movements.
 GAME LENGTHS will run 2 periods of 20 minutes.
 6. LEAGUE STANDINGS will be based on following point system:

WIN = 6 points
DRAW = 3 points
LOSS = 0 points
SHUTOUT WIN = 1 bonus points
GOALS = 1 point per goal up to 4

Tournament game times will be announced no later than Feb 23rd 2013
All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. The 4th game will be consolation and final games.
Medals will be given to the teams that finish 1st and 2nd in tournament flight. 
No guest players are allowed at the tournament
 All red cards will result in a minimum 1 game suspension from the tournament. The tournament committee have the right to extend any further disciplinary action should they see fit. The committee’s decisions are all final.
Any game starting more than 10 minutes late will result in a forfit resulting in a 2-0 victory for the on-time team. This the referee’s call.
All RESULTS are final.


RULES AND TIEBREAKERS APPLIED IN ORDER:

Most Head to Head Points 2. Most GDF (limit max per game 4)3. Most Goals For (limit max per game 4)4. Fewest Goals Against (limit max per game 4)5. Most Goals Scored6. Fewest Goals Allowed7. Most Goal Ratio (computer generated)8. Fewest Disciplinary Points9. Coin Toss10. All restarts, goalkicks, corner kicks, free-kicks (direct or indirect) will require 4 yards of space granted by the defending team. Penalty Kicks are taken from the “free throw line” and are defended by only the Goalkeeper.11. All tackling must be “clean” without contact. Body checking, shoulder charging, follow through on tackles is not permitted in Futsal.12. NUMBER OF PLAYERS: Each team will have 5 players on the court.13.
 EQUIPMENT: Shinguards are required. Only rubber soled “flats” will be allowed to be worn on the court.
All rosters will be frozen one week before the tournament.
 Referee’s discretion and judgement will be used to insure flowing game play. Any situations not called for by these rules will be administrated by the referee in the course of game play and referee’s decisions and discernment is final.
OVERTIME For final place games will the 5 minutes in length per half. If still tied then referee discretion the games will be decided from kicks from the mark.
